At the age of 18 years, Eyamba chose to begin a career in service. She chose to serve God, her country, and her fellow Americans by enlisting in the United States Army. Her 27 years of military experience have provided her with valuable training and work experience. Some of the opportunities and strengths she has acquired and used in the uniformed services include the following: Dependability, Integrity, Decision-Making, Looking Out for Others, Initiative, Tenacity, Professional Presence, Adaptability, Impartiality, Standards of Quality, and Commitment to Excellence. Her military career was both rewarding and fulfilling and afforded her the opportunity to serve in the following capacities: an Emergency Medical Technician/ Respiratory Therapist, Lead Trauma Instructor/Observer and Trainer, Sexual Harassment/Assault and Prevention Victim Advocate. Additionally, after active duty, while serving in the military as a Reservist, she has had the opportunity to serve non-military personnel as a Respiratory Therapy Technician, Staff Respiratory Therapist, Travel Respiratory Therapist, Lead Respiratory Therapist, and Department Manager of Respiratory Therapy. Eyamba Sowers is well-traveled and very family-oriented. She enjoys hosting functions for family and friends and she can cook a mean pot roast. When her military career ended, her strong desire to continue to serve others caused her to decide upon a new career. She is now a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), a licensed South Carolina and North Carolina Realtor, a Certified Military Relocation Professional (MRP), a Certified At Home With Diversity (AHWD) and a Certified Equestrian Property Specialist. She is a hard worker and a quick study. She will continue to use her skills to ensure that all clients are served courteously, professionally, and thoroughly!
